Please approve this! We need Iceland up and running. It’s important for our community, our families, and most of all our children to have access to a local skating rink such as Iceland. My family has learned to skate and build lots of memories at this rink. We would like many more. It’s a beautiful historical landmark that needs to be restored.
Community is essential and should be accessible to all, no matter the zip code. Please vote yes to support this amazing community asset and the folks that want to build something beautiful in a neighborhood that needs it and is worthy of it.

I’d like to first start by introducing myself. My name is Harley Mccarthy. I grew up skating at Iceland ice-skating rink and it also was my first job when I turned 16. I support all activities and save Havens for children. That being said Iceland skating rink is and always has been a great place for children and teens that are looking for activities that would keep them out of the streets and away from violence. Iceland is not only a safe Haven, but it is also a great place of employment for teens looking to launch themselves into the workforce with simple jobs and building life skills. I strongly support the loans proposed for Iceland skating rink. I think there is a demand for more development in North Sacramento and this would be a huge step in the right direction if the city grants Iceland skating rink the loans tonight.
Please approve this funding so we can revive the ice rink on Del Paso Blvd! This support will replace a vacant and dilapidated space with a family-friendly space that attracts both local District 2 residents, as well as the wider Sacramento community. Please vote to help revitalize the Del Paso Blvd corridor; support this agenda item!
