Can anyone on Council elaborate on why we are requiring new developments to have comprehensive video surveillance, including the ability to capture faces and license plate numbers, of the entirety of the property IN ADDITION to recording everyone on adjacent roads and sidewalks?
Are we in any way ensuring this comprehensive surveillance is not Flock or some other system that can be actively utilized by ICE?
If we want to speed run into an Orwellian future, at least let it be the business's decision and not mandated by the city.
