As a promoter in the greater Bay Area, Goldenvoice wholeheartedly supports this program, and we urge the Council to adopt it.

As a member of the Creative Edge steering committee and longtime local arts and music supporter, I strongly support this program proposal. One of the goals of the Creative Edge plan is to "enable Sacramento artists and creatives to thrive in their work and to provide creative leadership in the community." This proposal does just that by empowering and enabling local promoters to gain access to higher profile venues. For a number of years, our community has talked about the challenges we face with venue size and access for local and touring acts. This proposal offers a balanced approach to creating more access to national audiences for local performers and promoters alike.

As a local event producer, I strongly support this incentive. With large conglomerates moving in, independent producers like us need a way to stay competitive—and this is the most promising proposal I’ve seen yet.
