Gamechanger. Between the large scale stadium and the lower scale upgrades at Garcia Bend Park, I am excited for my son to grow up in Sacramento and be surrounded by the sport he loves. Vote yes for an exciting future.

I support the Implementation of Sacramento Republic FC Preliminary Term Sheet. For over three decades the Sacramento Railyards has been mostly empty. Many people such as myself drive by the Railyards and see the mostly empty lot but also its potential.

We had some recent developments happening or on the way with the new court house, Kaiser, the Wong Center, etc., but adding a soccer stadium with the rehabilitation of the Historic Central Shops district and more will be a game changer for Sacramento.

There will be many benefits to a yes vote on this project which includes economic benefits to the city such as parking revenue, sales taxes, jobs (temporary and permanent) and growing the size of downtown where more people can work, live, play and retire. Imagine with a new soccer stadium there can be more entertainment options, new housing, parks, restaurants, a hotel, etc.

Soccer games won't be the only attraction but adds to our civic pride. Concerts can be held at the stadium along with other sporting events, community oriented events, etc. The community benefits package is another win for the city and we have great partners (the Wilton Rancheria tribe and Kevin Nagle) who want to help investment in the city of Sacramento.

The city will not be subsidizing the construction of the soccer stadium, but it can be a good partner by helping with the infrastructure with rebates. This is a great opportunity for Sacramento. This is an easy yes vote.

    This is bigger than soccer.
