Sacramento, please do better. I want my children to grow up in a safe, healthy city. Putting dispensaries near youth centers and playgrounds is not the way forward.
Keep the CUP in place. These protections exist for a reason. Every neighborhood is different and dispensaries bring unique impacts. The current process lets the public have a say. Don’t silence us.
Do not allow cannabis businesses next to daycares. I run a licensed daycare. This would destroy my business. Parents would leave in a heartbeat. It’s irresponsible and dangerous.
It truly blows my mind that the city is considering allowing "conditional use permits" to move cannabis sales and use closer to sensitive areas like parks, libraries, museums, etc. I remember when cigarette smoke was everywhere until it was regulated to adult-only spots. The smell was terrible. And pot smells terrible too! It is not "equitable" to allow children and adults with breathing sensitivities to be exposed to this. And let's be honest, if pot is purchased near a library or park, the users will go there and smoke it. This is nonsense and not what we want our city to look and smell like.
Please do not go to Sun Spa, located at 6804 Fruitridge Rd #A
