The city of Sacramento should be very cautious of funding giant infrastructure projects. Our city already struggles to fund it's necessary services, and now is not the time to take on new debt. The Golden One center put our city into a significant financial burden that won't be paid off till 2040. We have not seen the boost in revenues that were promised, and this project will be no different. Instead of investing in a new community, the city should instead focus on current communities that are struggling with affordability, pedestrian safety, and lack of economic opportunity.
