My Name is Haley Andrew and I am in support of the project proposed for 1195 Florin Road. This group of women will be sure to create such a beautiful store that will fit in with the community of The Pocket, Greenhaven, and Land Park area. The surrounding business community have shown that they are excited to have this business be their neighbor. Having attended many of their open houses it was great to see the public already engaging with this business and excited to have a cannabis dispensary near their home. I write in support of this project for 1195 Florin Road and wish for the planning commissioners to vote in support of this project and approve it tonight.

    Thank you!
    Haley Andrew

I would like to show my support for the proposed dispensary located at florin and south lane park. The added jobs, security, tax revenue to the city and legal and regulated access not just for recreational use but the many that consume due to its many health and wellness benefits all brought to this area. Please approve, thank you

I am in support of this project and its team. Each applicant has invested extensive amounts of time and finances into their projects; have dedicated themselves towards social equity justice; and the success of this woman in cannabis will be vital to contributing to the success of this program toward furthering equity.

I am writing to express my support for The Pocket Dispensary project and to urge you to vote in favor of granting their Conditional Use Permit (CUP).

As a member of the community, I believe that The Pocket Dispensary will bring many positive benefits to the Pocket, South Land Park, Greenhaven neighborhoods, and the wider Sacramento area. The team behind the dispensary has a strong history in the California cannabis industry and has committed to operating as a women-owned social equity and legacy operated dispensary. This commitment is especially important as we work towards building a more equitable and just community.

I am also impressed with The Pocket Dispensary's dedication to promoting education and professionalism in the cannabis industry, and their commitment to supporting local artists and creative communities. This dispensary is clearly not just a place to purchase cannabis products, but also a community partner that will provide valuable resources and support to its neighbors.

I urge you to vote in support of The Pocket Dispensary's CUP and to help bring this valuable resource to our community. Thank you for considering my perspective on this important issue.

    Sincerely,

    Andy Jonsson

    I support this project.

I read the Staff Report and "Staff recommends the PDC approve the requested entitlements based on the findings and subject to the conditions listed in Attachment 3. The proposal complies with the goals and policies of the 2035 General Plan, in that it provides a retail use in a building supported by existing infrastructure. Furthermore, the project has been conditioned to ensure a safe and productive operation of the property that will not be a nuisance to the neighboring community. The site provides adequate parking, all uses will be conducted within an enclosed building, and the use will be required to comply with all requirements of City Code Titles 5 and 17 related to cannabis operations."

I believe that Staff's findings summarized above (and detailed in the Staff Report) lead to a logical decision of approving the project.

Mindy and her team are truly professionals in this industry that have had great success in creating clean, safe, and successful dispensaries in the area already. I look forward to them doing the same here.

    Thank you,

    Chase Burke

I am in the neighborhood directly behind the proposed dispensary. When I first heard about it, I was dead set against it. Mindy reached out to me & we met, sat down and talked about her business & the type of items she would be selling.
I was very impressed with her and her business plan. She wants to be a Good Neighbor to us and understands our concerns, which are now, mainly Traffic.
She has promised to do everything she can to help with the traffic issues, (Right turn in & Right turn out Only). The City could help with this issue by placing 3-4 foot posts right on the street line, to prevent these Illegal & Dangerous turns. Those should have been installed when the Strip Mall was built.
Mindy understands all the rules that were set in place when the City & The Friends of South Land Park (Lawsuit) came up with a Settlement Agreement.

Mindy seems to have a good plan in place for the security of her Employees and the Neighborhood at this site.

    Thank You,
    Kathy Slater
