1,000/1,500 feet re-noticing necessary. Much vacant land/not enough homes within a 600 feet notice. Surrounding neighborhood contains one-story businesses & single/multi-family homes with babies/young children, & nearby Luther Burbank High School. Public “Wellness Park,” accommodates 300 people. Public would assume outdoor cannabis smoking is permissible on cannabis cultivation property & ignore prohibited signs. No maximum events stated on bi-annual entertainment. (Only 2 events/year?) Will stage be rented out? Events possible daily? Hours 10am to 9pm, huge noise disturbances day & past 10pm as people leave & parking impacted. Noise carries quickly above one-story buildings. No peace for residents. South Florin upper mural sign indicative of 70’s LSD hallucinogenic pro-drug culture w/nude woman-inappropriate/does not represent concept of “Holistic Rehabilitative Medicine.” Need to protect our youth from drug usage. Need frequent inspections of HVAC/duct & prevent outside/inside odor.

I would like to point out that these folks are doing everything with transparency and legally. There are a multitude of outsiders cashing in on this “California Green Rush” that are doing it in warehouses, residential houses, other’s property - illegally. But this proposal is absolutely not that from the description. Paying taxes and fees, bringing in not just a money making business (with local jobs) but hosting positive events like music and comedy…I am all for it.
Cannabis has a long history in many areas - medically, paper, lumbar and fabric substitute, commercial lubricants and oils, rope etc. We are in desperate need of more education and R&D to put it to the best use for our environment and individual needs.
