I just commented on another item, and I have done so over the last few years. Recently, I have been taking government training on how to make government more accessible to the people we are supposed to represent. I want to comment that the process in which the City Council and Sacramento has made for the public is obstructive and not representative of us at all. Based on the extensive training I have been taking, this process is almost a template for what not to do. The agenda items are not understandable, the commenting process is laborious and one needs internet access or the ability to wait on the phone for hours. I know so many antics that the Council has engaged in to silence the community and as a citizen who works for government, I think we need to do better. Please make your meetings more accessible to the people you represent so that special interests aren't favored in the way they are now. And 1000 character comments? It's inadequate and frustrating at best.
