Parking is a nightmare in this area for nearby residents of smaller surrounding properties. It is often impossible for residents and repairmen of smaller properties in the vicinity of 17th Street and Q Street to find parking day or night on street close to their homes. Until residents are willing to give up their cars, there will not be enough parking in this development. Parking needs will spill over into the adjacent low density residential areas. Perhaps the city should consider making the E permit area exclusively for residents in smaller/older buildings outside of the R Street corridor?
