I just read the request by the homeowner. Very deceitful: that truck was never her work truck, was owner by the previous - no deceased homeowner - and has been non-op for years. The van never moves and I've never seen a ParaTransit bus there ever. The homeowner is constantly working out front trying to get this project done: moving rocks, hammering the complaint sign in the ground (upside down, I believe), never seen a wheelchair. I bet that new fence she's building isn't even on the property line (looks pretty close to the house next door). Ugh!
No wheelchair access has been constructed & the new pad provides none. The only intent of the homeowner we can see is to provide additional parking for their four cars, including the non-operational truck, which was towed away and then shortly thereafter towed back to the property, causing additional parking and access issues for the neighbors. Never once have we seen a wheelchair or disabled person at the residence, though the homeowner had been hastily trying to finish the work prior to this hearing. After being visited by an officer requesting she stop work on the yard, she resumed the work as soon as he left. Falsely invoking the ADA act is an insult to those who actually would benefit from it and possibly a crime. Now, she's building fencing right next to the pad before this hearing is even held. No regard for the neighborhood, local ordinances or local law enforcement. Oh, and that State of Jefferson flag she hung right after receiving the complaint: childish.
