On behalf of the North A Street Shelter (and others) I am concerned about the correct course of action if we identify a resident in the shelter that is showing symptoms of the virus. I need to know if there will be testing available and, if infected, where can the person be sent. The shelter is an older design that has two bunk beds in cubicles that sleep residents in very tight quarters. If someone is infected it could spread extremely quickly. Additionally, I believe it is fair to state that we have clients with weakened immune systems that would be at risk. Finally, I suggest the River District Collaborative schedule an emergency session of all shelter providers to tackle this and other virus related concerns so that we can have a consistent approach and plan of action. - Thank you, Steve Watters
