I am opposed to 5g small cell antennae in neighborhoods. These antennae, which are placed very close to homes, will expose us to unrelenting radio-frequency microwave radiation at higher levels than previous generations of wireless antennae.
At this time, there is no evidence- nothing in the way of longitudinal (or short term) studies which show that exposure 5G is safe.
It’s disturbing that members of our city council have made a pact with Verizon to be one of the first cities to permit the deployment of 5g without the assurance that the technology is even safe.
Mayor Steinberg and councilmembers have a duty to protect the health and welfare of Sacramentans. Please place a moratorium on 5G development in our city until independent studies can ascertain that the technology will do no harm.
