Dear Councilmembers, Thank you for your leadership and support of Sacramentos nighttime economy.I own and operate several restaurants,bars, and nightclubs in downtown. We are fortunate to have a tremendous police dept, entertainment division, and code enforcement unit that regulates and enforces laws that benefit us all.I strongly support adding and amending 5.86 and 5.90.I write from a public safety aspect that effects the peaceful exiting of patrons from late night venues and districts.Per our city entertainment permit we are responsible for patrons dispersing the adjacent streets.Every weekend night hot dog carts make this safe and timely exiting a challenge as we try to move patrons to ride share locations and city garages.Even patrons not ordering food use this as a reason for hanging out and not dispersing.Large groups congregating on street corners after drinking is an accident waiting to happen.Restricting vending operations near entertainment venues is a solution.
