Midtown Neighborhood Association supports the permit fees proposed in the amended ordinance, as long as the underlying justification for the fees are intended to go back to support infrastructure in impacted neighborhoods. We are excited Sacramento is becoming a targeted market for operators of shared-rideables. In efforts to reduce car dependency, having active transportation options available to residents is important. While we see the addition of new operators as an opportunity, it is crucial that we develop a thoughtful, well-regulated ordinance that allows for additional investments while maintaining the strong quality of life Sacramento residents have grown to love.
We urge you to approve the proposed revisions to the current regulation.
