We commend the Council and city staff for partnering with us to make equity and inclusive economic development a reality in our region’s cannabis industry.
Everything in the staff report will move the program forward, except for the proposal to change the meaning of “priority processing.” We strongly urge the Council to table the proposed definition change as it would significantly alter the benefits of the CORE program. The absence of strike out language for the public to clearly see what City staff proposes to change is problematic.
My comments are only related to the "Priority Processing" Definition Amended. Please provide further clarity on the substitute language for "Priority Processing". The staff report suggest some language in which I do not see in the Attachment # or in the resolution. I suggest that if you modify the original language adopted in July 2018 by adding "consider" before the word "approval" you accomplish the clarity you are seeking. Also, is there a strikeout version of the language and a draft resolution available? I could not locate either if them. Thank you for your response.
