Hello, my name is Noel Kammermann, executive director of Loaves & Fishes, a non-profit in our community that provides survival services to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness in our community. I am writing to you in support of approving development of Lot P for a triage shelter. It is critical that we increase the number of shelter beds within our community to address the needs of an increasing population of community members who have fallen on hard times, and need assistance. Approval for development for the first 100 of the new 800+ shelter beds is a significant and critical demonstration by the city to show the importance of helping our community members experiencing homelessness.
