I am not opposed to the City adopting a TOD Ordinance. I fully support the City setting policies to reduce VMTs. That said, please defer acting on this item until you have sufficient time to consider public input or, at the least, to personally view the Planning and Design Commissioners November 29th discussion. The 32,000 affected property owners were only noticed in mid-November, notice for the November 29th PDC meeting was issued the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, your action tonight is two weeks before Christmas, and it was noted by staff at the PDC meeting that the staff report for your meeting was already completed. There are rumors that this one-size-fits-all action is being pushed through to stop the Crocker Village gas stations. Carrying over this action to your January 15th meeting will help quell what I believe is an incorrect perception that the City scheduled this action over the holidays to slip it past and to stop Mr. Predovitch.
