As a resident of the Woodlake neighborhood, I am opposed to allowing a storage unit facility to be built at the old Woodlake Inn property. Bring in a business that will add employment to the area and serves the area. It is my understanding that water drainage funnels on to the property as a reservoir. Use this as a feature/pond/lake to enhance the area and build around it
We do not need yet another storage facility in this area that seems to be saturated with them. There are two on 16th Street near the Northgate Blvd. exit and one off of Garden Hwy at Northgate Blvd., and these are just the ones closest to us. We need business that will generate jobs! As much of the surrounding neighborhood is low income and there is to be new low income housing built on Arden Way in the old Lumberjack location, it just seems sensible to create jobs for the people who live nearby and increase the quality of living for these people. Self storage will not accomplish this. Isn't the emphasis on working and living in the same community?

Businesss that create jobs should be the focus. I struggle to understand the need for yet another storage facility.
