21. Establishing the Cannabis Equity Program and Ordinances Amending the Sacramento City Code Relating to Cannabis Cultivation, Nonvolatile Manufacturing and Distribution; Cannabis Manufacturing Businesses; and Interested Parties of a Cannabis Business (Noticed 11/17/2017; Passed for Publication 11/21/2017; Published 11/24/2017) File ID: 2017-01555
Please consider making the language of your local manufacturing regulations consistent with the newly released Statewide regulations.
The language in particular that needs to be reconsidered is the section outlining how serving sizes of a cannabis edible can be scored or delineated.
I brought to the attention of Steve Woods at the CADPH that a "cutting guide" included with an edible would suffice as a way to be compliant with the requirement of "delineated" 10mg serving sizes. He said this would be an acceptable form of product compliance.
A month later - the following language was added to the emergency regulations:
"Edibles that consist of more than a single serving shall (either) be:
....
Packaged in a manner such that a single serving is readily identifiable."
I request that this language be included in the City of Sacramento's regulations - rather than the scoring-only language that exists currently.
