The proposed project envisions lakes, which will create a new flyway for geese and ducks, right in the path of aircraft from nearby Sacramento International Airport. This will create hazards for both wildlife and the people who will live in the project. This will be an ongoing and expensive problem to mitigate. The project will also force Swainson's hawks closer to the airport, which is allowed to "take" birds in airline flight paths.
