On behalf of the Midtown Neighborhood Association and our members, we strongly support the Ethics Reform package.
The Sunshine Ordinance will give the public more opportunities to understand and participate in city decision-making. Establishing an independent commission will help educate officials and the public about government ethics rules and promote trust in government. Collectively, these reforms will help make Sacramento a model for more accessible, transparent, and accountable city government.
Thank you for your leadership on this important issue. We urge a "yes" vote!

Please vote “yes” on the Ethics Reform package before the council!
As a resident and voter, government transparency and ethics are very important to me. Sacramentans deserve strong ethics laws to make sure everyone plays by the rules. And bringing more transparency to city government will create more opportunities for the public to participate in city decisions.
Establishing a Sunshine Ordinance, Ethics Code, and Ethics Commission are big steps forward for our city. Thank you for your support and leadership on this.
