This is an ordinance that seems like common sense, yet some will apposed it because they really are not looking at the entire population in Sacramento. Our pubic sidewalks need to be available for the PUBLIC including those who rely on them to get around including the elderly, those in wheelchairs, disabled, mothers with strollers, etc. While our city continues to find ways to support those in need, they are also obligated to ensure the quality of life continues for every citizen in Sacramento. Public Sidewalks are a very basic, and very important need!

I can't believe this is even up for discussion. Enforce the rules for everyone.

It's absolutely absurd that we are NOT able to walk to and from Land Park to Midtown/Downtown without having to jeopardize ourselves by walking in the street to avoid the drug addicted and unhoused that are lying on the street and blocking the right of way. Please pass this ordinance.

As a long time resident and homeowner in Land Park, I am sympathetic to the homeless residents of our city. I do believe we can do more to help them, I also believe I should be able to safely traverse the sidewalks in my neighborhood. I don’t think they are mutually exclusive and this is why I support this ordnance.
